goddess

you are full

of promises you did’nt keep to yourself

she said

to him

to herself-

you whispered

half drowned

i and vapors –

looking down at my feet

you were looking at them too

touching your toes

touching my toes

you traced your name on my feet

‘goddess’

you made me

not human

leaving me on the pedastle from where

i must seek you in solitude

embrace you in aloneness

live quenched for

your touch

you

i am no god

no i want to spread

my being over you

my shoulders covering yours

interlacing my fingers in yours

late in the night

an odd koyel calls out

lost

maybe she left

some stifled nest

to breathe – long- inhaling

this sky yours and some mine

playing with clouds

under a warm october sky

touching my feet

from where i lie

the sky is at my feet

‘goddess’

your whisper

softly carves me into stone again
